Musical-Performance
Back Up Story is about many things: commercial art, magical powers, physical laws, utopias, and fame. The actors, who once became stars thtough West Side Story, end up in jail after intrigues by the producer. They discover the revolutionary power of art, overcome space and time, and almost randomly enter different dimensions. With playful elegance and daring dance, they embark on the paths of modern string theories and current physics. The Finnish musician Jimi Tenor and the band KabuKabu play with references to the West Side Story and incorporate stylistic elements of various musical genres from jazz to funk, soul and hip hop, as well as quotes of traditional music from the various countries of origin of the Ensemble members.
